About me
I'm a geoinformatics engineer based in Berlin, working at the intersection of remote sensing, GIS, and web development. My work spans everything from satellite image classification to interactive drainage dashboards for civil engineering clients.
I freelance on Fiverr delivering hydrology analysis, hydraulic modelling, and WebGIS projects, combining tools like HEC-HMS, QGIS, and Google Earth Engine with clean web interfaces that make spatial data accessible.
Currently building toward full-stack geospatial development, with a focus on real time environmental monitoring and earth observation pipelines.
Selected works
Full drainage engineering project for a commercial site in Dallas, Texas (Forney Road). Includes pre/post-development HEC-HMS modelling, Rational Method pipe sizing, HEC-RAS pipe network setup, and a live Leaflet.js WebGIS dashboard with real-coordinates KML layers, storm event filtering, and node/pipe inspection data.
Mapped built-up area change for the nation's fastest-growing city using Sentinel-2 imagery and NDBI classification (2016–2025), then linked the sprawl directly to hydrology by converting land cover change into an SCS Curve Number shift and modelling the resulting increase in storm runoff for the watershed.
Multi-criteria suitability model for Germany's coal-to-solar transition zone, combining slope, land cover, grid proximity, and farmland protection into a single score. Delivered as a synced side-by-side interactive map — one pane showing suitability, the other a familiar street map — so a highlighted zone is always a real, findable place.
Water and vegetation detection for all districts of Berlin using Google Earth Engine. Random Forest classifier maps land cover interactively — zoom into any Bezirk and explore current vegetation and water extent.
Interactive global climate heatmap built with React + Rust, visualising MODIS satellite data from 2000–2025. Explore land surface temperature, anomalies, and toggleable map layers over 25 years.
A lightweight Chrome extension that estimates the CO₂ footprint of your browsing in real time — tracking data transferred per site and converting it to grams of CO₂ using grid intensity factors. All calculations happen locally, no data sent externally.
